KouTK Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of customers’ personal information when using www.fibertk.com or the FiberTK online shop (hereinafter referred to as “this Site”).

“Personal information” as defined in this Policy includes the “personal information” as stated in the Personal Information Protection Law and refers to device information and order information as follows: (1) “Device Information” refers to specific information about the device, such as web browser, IP address, time zone, and some cookies installed on the device, automatically collected when a customer accesses this Site, as well as information about individual web pages or products viewed, websites or search terms referred to when visiting this Site, and how the customer interacts with this Site.

(1) The Company uses the order information collected through this Site to process customer orders (including payment processing, shipping arrangements, and providing invoices or order confirmations). Additionally, this order information is used for the following purposes:

– To screen orders for potential risks or fraud.
– To provide information or advertising related to our products or services in line with the preferences shared by the customer.

(2) The Company uses collected device information (particularly IP addresses) to screen for potential risks and fraud and to improve and optimize the site (for example, generating analytics about how customers browse and interact with the site and evaluating the success of marketing and advertising campaigns).

We provide personal information to external services. For example, we use Shopify to operate our online store. – When personal information is provided due to the succession of business as a result of a merger or other reasons.
– When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government body or their agents in performing their legal duties, and obtaining customer consent may hinder the performance of such duties.
– Other cases where it is permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.

If you place an order through the site, we will retain your order information for our records unless you request its deletion.

If a customer requests the disclosure of personal information based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, we will promptly disclose it to the customer upon confirming that the request is from the customer themselves (if the personal information does not exist, we will notify the customer to that effect). However, if we are not obligated to disclose under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws, this does not apply. Please note that a fee (1,000 yen per request) is charged for the disclosure of personal information.

If a customer believes that the personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the customer may request the correction, addition, or deletion (“correction, etc.”) of the personal information through the procedure prescribed by the Company. If we determine that it is necessary to respond to the correction request, we will promptly make the correction and notify the customer.

If a customer requests suspension of use or deletion of personal information based on the Personal Information Protection Law due to the fact that it is being handled beyond the scope of the pre-disclosed purposes of use, or due to the fact that it was collected by fraudulent or other improper means, we will promptly investigate the request and take necessary action based on the results. If we decide not to suspend use or delete the information, we will notify the customer accordingly.

We may change this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. The revised privacy policy will apply only to customers who have agreed to the changes by the method prescribed by the Company. If we change the privacy policy, we will inform customers by displaying the revised policy on the site or by other appropriate means.
